An event was held by TWI Cambridge to present the winners of the latest WeldGalaxy Open Innovation Call on 1 September, 2021.
This kick-off event saw the official start of the second round of 15 projects , that will each receive funding of 100,000 Euros. TWI will provide technical support to the projects which will run for six months. This funding is provided through the Horizon 2020 European Commission innovation programme.
The WeldGalaxy project is led by TWI and has been working to create a knowledge-based B2B arc welding marketplace that will help users select the correct processes, consumables and equipment, while also streamlining inventory management and collaborating with manufacturers to design and test new products.
The selected proposals from the second round of Open Calls are drawn from businesses operating in Belgium, Denmark, The Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Norway, Greece, Italy, Portugal, and the United Kingdom.
