Release of the alpha version of the WeldGalaxy platform, launch of second round of Open Innovation calls, presence in international conferences and news stories from the partners, the consortium is pleased to announce the publication of 5th edition of its Newsletter!
WELDGALAXY INNOVATION DAY
An online event aimed to promote the launch of the second round of open calls. The webinar included an introduction to the second WeldGalaxy open call and explanation of the technical support offered by the WeldGalaxy programme, followed by presentation of success stories of the arc welding pilots selected during the first open call. WELDGALAXY PROJECT REACHES MILESTONE
Launched in October 2018 the project reached a key milestone, having been running for 28 months and completing its second iteration. The project was recognised as a “key innovator” by the Innovation Radar, and has been working towards enhancing the visibility and accessibility of EU-funded innovations to the public in order to demonstrate the technological and scientific advances that are being delivered by researchers and innovators around Europe. WELDGALAXY ANNOUNCES SECOND ROUND OF OPEN CALLS
WeldGalaxy is supporting innovations in arc welding through a unique support programme. Following the success of its first round, applications are open for SMEs and Mid-Cap companies that are developing efficient, cost-effective and innovative arc welding equipment, consumables and processes to apply for the second round of open calls until 29 April 2021. ALPHA VERSION OF WELDGALAXY PLATFORM RELEASED
The consortium was pleased to announce the release of the alpha version of the WeldGalaxy platform. The digital platform has been designed to enhance the visibility of the EU’s arc welding products, services and prototypes to provide innovative web-based services. It incorporates a knowledge-based engineering tool that streamlines the equipment and consumable selection process, allowing end users to ‘plug and produce’ digital manufacturing of the correct equipment to specified customer requirements and regulatory compliance. DATA ANALYTICS-ENABLED USABILITY IN WELDGALAXY
WeldGalaxy, as a knowledge based driven marketplace, addresses a specific (niche) vertical market; focused on arc welding. The project supports a data driven models to improve the supply chain and extends a servitization driven interaction between buyers and offerors. In WeldGalaxy both buyers and offerors also can collaborate, share trusted technical/product knowledge and provide knowledge based services or experimentation. Read more
