What is WeldGalaxy?

Weld Galaxy is a B2B online platform that will bring together global buyers and EU sellers of welding equipment along with auxiliaries/consumables and services. A digital platform aimed to enhance the visibility of EU’s welding products/prototypes/services to global users and providing innovative web-based services, WeldGalaxy will incorporate a Knowledge Based Engineering Tool that streamlines equipment selection process for end-users and allows ‘plug and produce’ digital manufacturing of the right equipment to specified customers’ /end users’ requirements and regulatory compliance.


Our goal is to create a highly visible and transparent digital B2B online platform that connects end-users with equipment and consumables manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and technology and service providers

OUR VISION

Digital platform aiming to increase the visibility of EU manufacturers to global users of equipment and to increase and support digitisation of manufacturing; enhance experimentation and market uptake of off-the-shelf prototypes developed by EU SMEs; and boost European competitiveness and market share in welding equipment, consumables and services.

OUR PURPOSE

Help EU manufacturers to sell more welding equipment and consumables globally; provide a digital ‘plug and produce’ online welding equipment platform that allows EU manufacturers to rapidly design and test innovative equipment in collaboration with other manufacturers and end-users. Help end-users to select the right processes and equipment, streamline inventory management, enhance equipment maintenance, collaborate with manufacturers to design and test new products meeting their needs; hence limiting failures/downtime, enhancing energy efficiency, reducing operation cost and increasing productivity. The platform will enable:

  • Transparency of product features, capabilities, resource use, associated add-on services and price;
  • Customer feedback, real-time use feedback (anonymised as needed) and associated options;
  • Scalability with respect to technological development and manufacturing application domains;
  • Information about standards and regulatory compliance (e.g. the facilitation of re- and de-manufacturing) as well as security requirements
